Due date is the first nine weeks, along with your design of your portfolio. * Index is your main page with navigation links to your other pages. * Introductions o Personal Information o Personal Accomplishments o Extra-Curricular Activities o Social or community activities o Additional information that you would like to add to your portfolio. (Friends, Family, Pets, Cars, Tutorials, etc.) List each item and date each item. o Reflections or Essay. An option is to include a student essay on such topics as personal goals and aspirations, plans to achieve those goals, and/or how the student has contributed to his school and community. o Goals
* Academic Achievements o Certifications o Awards o GPA o Dual Enrollment o Transcripts, test scores, placement tests, and independent testing reports are important items in this portion of the portfolio. o Volunteer Activities o Workshops or Specialized Training o Performances(Ex. Homecoming, plays) o School Activities, clubs etc. o Extra-Curricular Activities, sports. o Reflection
* Career o Career Shadowing experience o Your reflection of your future career o Description of future career, what it pays, what is the job, how much money will you make. o Reflections * Skills o Special Skills Consider including a video or audio tape in this portion. § (Work skills are skills learned such as balancing a check book, keyboarding, using Microsoft Office word, critical thinking skills, communication skills, Industry certifications etc.) o Essay that show your writing skills. o Letters of recommendations, Portfolio letters can come from specific experiences (e.g., a congratulatory letter from a Scout leader for achieving an award), or can be generated strictly for the purpose of the portfolio. Such general letters can be written by a counselor, a coach, a teacher, a supervisor, a pastor, or anyone who can offer an objective overall endorsement of a student's skills and abilities. o Resume o Letter of Applications o Work Experience o List any special work skills. o Reflection * Projects o Movies created o Posters created o Business created o Flash videos created o Any additional projects from other classes. Ex. Essay in English, pictures of history or science projects. o Refection of prior work to new work to show improvement.
