Lesson Summary

Lesson is designed a piecemeal lesson. Piecemeal lesson is a method of designing a system in which each component of a system is developed independently. Student will work independently, choosing a chapter from the Photoshop CS6 book, work through the lesson and create a shorten lesson for that particular chapter. Then we will put it all together. Then students will practice the shortened lessons created by other students. The final outcome is to take Photoshop CS6 Industry Certification test.

Students will develop organizational strategies in preparing a visual add for a lesson from the Photoshop book that they worked through.

Students experience of creating a visual aide for working through Photoshop lessons. Students will review other students work so they may learn Photoshop concept.

Results Presentation

Students present their movies to the class.

Activities Before Using the Computer

  1. Students will proofread the Photoshop book and choose chapters they wish to do.
  2. Students sign up on a sign in sheet.

Strategies to develop students’ attitudes towards the problem, motivation, and overall mindfulness:

Students are excited about choosing their own lesson and creating a shortened lesson, they would prefer to learn with a quick tutorial then doing the whole book.

Activities While Using the Computer

Students will work at the computer

  1. Students will work through the activities in the Photoshop CS6 book.
  2. Students will create a shorten visual aide lesson from what they learned.

Activities After Using the Computer

Students will put the lessons together to be used on the high school website.

Supporting Activities

Instructor supports students through the process of working with the tools in Photoshop for each lesson. Students also support each other because students creating each lesson are in different classes.

Students will be assessed:

Evaluation by instructor and other students in working through the student made shortened visual aide assignment.

Included in the assessment

An evaluation is how user friendly and easy the lesson flows that the student creating. Does it contain all the steps to complete and learn the lesson.
